3x Garmin Smartwatches to be WON!
What if I can't run 6kms?
That's totally ok! If you can't run that far, just walk, or walk and run the distance. You will then follow the plan and be blown away by your improvement.
Remember it's about your own personal progress.
What does the training plan look like?
Each week you will do 2 runs (2-6kms) and we tell you how far. You also choose two DediKate workouts to do as well as an optional Speed Session which is a DediKate running/cardio audio workout.
Do we get access to nutrition as well?
You sure do! When you join DediKate you get access to everything we offer, this includes our variety of workouts, meal plans, nutritionist, recipes, community and more!
What do we use to measure our running distance?
Kate uses her new Garmin, but she used to use Map my Run. Just download it to your phone from your app store. It's easy to use and it talks to you on the way, telling you how far you have fun and how fast.
Why do we only run twice per week?
This is enough to get improvement, when combined with HIIT and strength workouts. You will get better results working on your strength and all round fitness as well, rather than just hitting the pavement.
We have run two very successful DediKate6k challenges in the past. Read some of the amazing variety of achievements from our members. Notice the results are not just about how our members look, but the difference it makes to their life!
I think the key thing this challenge has taught me is how to motivate myself to push myself out of my comfort zone, and to keep going even if I want to quit. Reading the stories from all of the women on DediKate and hearing their victories helps me so much with gaining perspective on what "success" means, and I'm so glad that I can say with my head high that I finished this challenge.
In my final 6km I completed my first km in 4.58min, NEVER would I have thought I could do a km in this time! 31.58 minutes was my final time, 45 seconds quicker than last time with a headwind and a tummy full of nerves but a whole lot of mental strength! I’m so bloody proud of this run!!
Thanks Kate and all the DediKate Members for another awesome Dedikate6k challenge. There were so many amazing results for us all! Well done us!
I am so proud of myself and what I achieved in this challenge. I never really focused on the time, just getting out there and trying to run every km was my personal aim. I look back on my run results and every single run I got quicker and in the end I knocked 2.49 minutes off my 6km run. And also knocked off 2cm off my hips, 3cm from my tummy, 4cm from my waist, 1cm each from my arms and thighs and 2.5kgs. What a bonus!
Thank you so much for the DediKate6k Kate, it really challenged me mentally and physically and made me realise I really can do anything I put my mind to!
